Around Yucaipa: Yucaipa Music & Nightlife: February 1 Edition

Here's the music 'round town for the first week of February. If you know of any other events, feel free to leave a comment. You can find more information in the links at the the end of the post. Note: all entries subject to change. Call to confirm the bands and cover price. I'll update the entries below if I find more information.

New Venue: Regular Friday night shows are going to be held at the Set Free Church in Calimesa. The idea is to provide a venue for local up-and-coming bands to play without having to sell tickets. It's also all ages. For more information, contact Diary Booking. (That having been said, it doesn't look like they have a show this week.)

Show tunes: Yucaipa Little Theatre (12135 California St.) is putting on Disney's Beauty and the Beast, on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, January 31-February 17, 7:30pm shows with 3:30 pm matinee. See web site for details.

Saturday, February 2

Los Rios Rancho (Oak Glen): Hometown Jamboree, with Riley's Mountaineers. $15 adults, $10 kids.
Eagle's Aerie (12015 Fourth St.): Sock Hop, with ham and potato salad dinner at 5:30 pm ($3.50), costume contest at 7pm and twist contest at 7:30pm.
PAC Theater at Crafton Hills College: Battle of the Bands, with Hangar45, Crost, Waiting for Decay, and Jack Price. $10 at the door, $8 with CHC student ID. Doors open at 6pm.
