Yucaipa Music & Nightlife: November 9-15

Here is the musical entertainment you can find in Yucaipa for the week of November 9-15. If you know of any other events, feel free to leave a comment. The big event of the weekend is the US Armed Forces Music Festival, headlining Jo Dee Messina. In more local news Bailey's (the old 14th St. Grill) has brought back live bands.

Buy tickets for upcoming events:
  • November 10-11: US Armed Forces Music Festival (to support the USO) at Yucaipa Regional Park with country music headliners Michael Peterson on Saturday night and Jo Dee Messina on Sunday night. Buy tickets online: Adults age 16-54 $45 one day/$60 two days, adults age 55+ $50 two days, kids age 10-15 $25, kids 9 and under are free. Active or inactive military with ID $50 for two days. Twilight tickets (4pm-9pm) are available at the park the days of the festival: $25 both days for ages 10and up, active or non-active military, seniors 55+. 75% of net proceeds go to the Ontario USO.
  • November 10: Big Band Dance at Riley's Farm. Dinner-dance tickets sold out. " "Dance & Dessert" Only Tickets available for $15.00 Each."
  • November 24: Apple Butter Hoedown at Los Rios Rancho
  • December 7, 14, 22: A Christmas Carol at Riley's Farm (tickets are going fast)
  • December 7, 15: Christmas in the Colonies at Riley's Farm (tickets are going fast)
  • December 7, 9: Currier and Ives Christmas at Los Rios Rancho

Saturday, November 10
  • US Armed Forces Music Festival at Yucaipa Regional Park. Saturday's acts include Brad Johnson & Killin' Time (country) 11am, Ashley Runner and West 10 (country), Jamie Williams (jazz saxophone) 3pm, Yucaipan Country Music Television karaoke star Paula Wilkins with All Worked Up (country) 7pm, Eric Randolph (lounge jazz) 8pm, and headliner Michael Peterson closing out the night.. There will also be activities for kids and food, drink and merchandise vendors. 75% of net proceeds go to the Ontario USO. Buy tickets online for one or two-day passes. Twilight tickets (4pm-9pm) are available at the park the days of the festival.
  • Riley's Farm (Oak Glen): Big Band Dance with music provided by Elaine Upton and the Harmony Sisters in Bill Blanchard's Little Big Band. Tickets must be purchased in advance. Dessert+Dance tickets available.
  • McAnallly Auditorium, Mesa Grande Academy (975 S, Fremont St., Calimesa): "Latino Folk Music Extravaganza" with Trumpets of Mexico featuring Javier Rodriquez, Winds from the South (folk music of the Andes), Santos Folk Group with singer Pablo Santos, Eddie Santi (sacred music vocalist), 7:30 PM - reserved $15, open seating $10. Call 909-795-4960, or purchase tickets at Adventist Book Center Loma Linda, Berean Christian Store Colton; Berean Christian Store Riverside; Loma Linda University Student Affairs.   • Yucaipa Little Theatre (12135 California St.) fund-raiser: Broadway Review, with music from Avenue Q, Wicked, A Chorus Line, Rent, Camelot, Fiddler on the Roof and Wizard of Oz. 7:30 PM, $10,(more info, .doc file)

Monday, November 12 (Veterans' Day)
  • Thanks to all the veterans and active servicemen and servicewomen out there!
  • At 10am there will be a Veteran's Day ceremony co-hosted by the American Legion and VFW.
