Total Lunar Eclipse Will Be Too Early to See

There will be a total lunar eclipse on the afternoon of March 3.

According to the U.S. Naval Observatory's Lunar Eclipse Calculator the following is true for Yucaipa (Pacific Standard Time):
                                                      Moon's
Azimuth Altitude
h m o o
Moonrise 2007 Mar 03 17:48 82.4 ----
Moon leaves penumbra 2007 Mar 03 18:25.4 87.6 6.8
Moonset 2007 Mar 04 06:34 274.0 ----
To translate: the moon will just be leaving Earth's shadow as it is rising for us. We'll catch the tail end. If you love eclipses, don't despair. We should be able to catch the August 28 total lunar eclipse. The NASA 2007 Eclipse page has more details.
